Every time we release enhancements, they are immediately made available to all subscribers via the cloud. Our SaaS solution sends data captured at various metering points via gateways to Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing platform, where users can conveniently access it using a web-based application.

In practice: use cases for our energy management software
Various use cases are possible with NEXOSPACE Energy Manager. Depending on your preferences, the data can be visualized in a huge variety of diagrams for quickly identifying key facts and trends. Here are a few example use cases:
NEXOSPACE Energy Manager lets you compare the energy consumption of different sites, buildings, and systems. You can also aggregate all consumption data from networked metering points in a comprehensive overview that lets you see both overall and individual aspects and trends. This enables you to quickly spot any discrepancies between locations and apply positive cases as benchmarks.
This function is especially practical for operators with multiple sites that may be designed similarly but consume different amounts of energy. Our software solution lets you compare them and draw valuable conclusions for eliminating upward outliers and scaling up effective solutions – for example, by quickly and easily correcting an incorrectly parametrized air-conditioning system. Likewise, measures for increasing efficiency that have worked well at one location can be extended to the rest to maximize resource efficiency across the board.
NEXOSPACE Energy Manager enables building operators and companies to chart their carbon footprints. Greenhouse gas emissions can be broken down for individual sites, buildings, and plants. This makes it easy to spot trends over the course of a year, month, week, day, or even hour. Also visualized is the share of emissions contributed by different energy sources, for example in order to compare natural gas and electricity. You can also define and monitor the achievement of both self-defined and mandatory reduction targets. You can see at a glance how far CO₂ emissions have been reduced in different areas or parts of the company and whether the implemented measures are helping you achieve your targets.
The energy management software available from Bosch also includes a savings monitor. It can be used to visualize and document energy savings at individual monitoring sites. One curve shows energy consumption over the course of a year without any corrective action (baseline consumption) while a second indicates actual consumption after taking steps to improve it, calculated using regression analysis. This graph is excellently suited for justifying improvements and getting corresponding budgets approved, because it clearly shows whether or not and if so to what extent implemented measures have actually yielded savings.
Alongside energy consumption, the associated costs also play a crucial role. Our energy management software also includes a very well organized, easy-to-read dashboard for monitoring them. It lets companies see at a glance how much they are paying for different kinds of energy, such as electricity or natural gas, at a particular point in time or over the course of a year. This information provides valuable insights: When and why are energy costs especially high? How can the situation be improved? Perhaps by changing how systems or equipment use energy or by purchasing energy in advance at flexible rates to prepare for periods of peak consumption?
